An experienced and eclectic player, accompanist and tutor
Currently Eileen's main interest is in jazz, she plays piano and keyboards with various big bands and small ensembles in the north west, as well as performing as a classical accompanist. She also plays second tenor in a big band, and clarinet in a wind quintet.

Eileen has a range of teaching and performing experience including 10 years lecturing at Leeds College of Music, and five years with the Open University. As well as teaching privately, she has run many jazz workshops and taught jazz appreciation at local colleges. At the RNCM she has taught Musicianship and Jazz piano and also taught jazz and directed the Big Band in the Junior RNCM department. She now teaches Engagement with Learning for overseas students.
